This tool has led many to create new models for the game as well as other forms of mods. And as it turns out, there is an emerging community of modders for this game, mostly due to the launch of a randomizer. Reflecting on it, I realized that this game also starts with a campaign to rescue a damsel in distress (technically two, first you rescue Tetra, and then you rescue Aryll). Well, this time around I want to mod The Wind Waker.
This time it’s doing a similar 2 x 2 experiment with new heroes/victims for another Zelda game. Like, it keeps me up at night and I think about it a lot. You may hold out for a small glimmer of hope that you can play the entire game, dreaming of sailing or soaring over all that The Wind Waker has to offer with Rare’s duo from Nintendo 64 origin, but unfortunately will find that hope to be subsequently extinguished. Any outlandish rumors that Bigbutt wouldn’t appear on Outset Island are now confirmed to be bull… The assets from Banjo-Kazooie are carefully placed on Outset, so you will find the likes of that familiar blue bull, Bigbutt, replacing those little water-wary pigs. The bear and Breegull are showcased as they traverse the island, flapping across that broken bridge and being nosy in the houses of the islanders. Familar things that hurt Banjo are spotted on Outset Island.Suddenly the lack of a boat doesn’t seem like that big of an issue….Homage is paid to Link’s Awakening, much to Kazooie’s egg-centric pleasure!.Thanks to Kurko Mods, Banjo and his feathered friend find themselves on Outset Island, scurrying around the opening area from the beautiful, 2003 cel-shaded Zelda GameCube masterpiece The Wind Waker. debut, but this mod has brought them one step further. They will soon be able to brave the Great Sea and face off with Toon Link in their Smash Bros. Banjo-Kazooie excitement and nostalgia is through the roof at the moment, with fans reveling in unprecedented joy after the duo’s reveal for the Super Smash Bros.
